Quasar joined my small fleet in September of 2011.
She is the first of six aft pilot house models built and starting to show her age.
I plan to slowly restore and upgrade her as I enjoy using her.
As I restore Quasar I would like to work towards something more like this....

Over the years I've collected a few nautical antiques for my home, now I can collect some for Quasar.

Some Quasar owner history.... from what I've gathered;
1966 to 1968......... "My name is Walter A. Hellmuth. My Dad, Walter W. Hellmuth was the first owner of "Quasar". He bought it sometime in 1966, docked in Oceanside Ca. until June 1967, when we left Carlsbad where we lived at the time. We actually lived on board during the summer of 1967 in Santa Barbara harbor. We made a number of trips around the Channel Islands, and to Catalina Island with family and friends. I have many vivid, and fond memories of that time, even though I was very young. He sold it sometime in 1968. I'm gald to see she is still afloat, and well taken care of after all these years. I hope you enjoy her in the years to come.
Best regards,
-Walt " (Walt contacted me on facebook with this info Sept 2012..... Thanks Walt !)
