Lu Lu Belle was originally designed in 1977 by yacht designer John Anderson on a Westport hull. Rick collaborated with John Anderson, providing engineering support on numerous projects in the 90's. In 1999, when Lu Lu Belle's owner wanted to lengthen the hull, Rick went to work on the modifications, adding 10 feet to the length, and secured Coast Guard approval of the changes.
